Also available online from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is a bachelor’s degree in criminology with a concentration in psychology. This major consists of 24 credit hours of core courses with 12 credit hours in the area of emphasis.

An online bachelor’s degree in psychology is offered through the University of Florida’s distance learning department. This program requires a background in mathematics, statistics and biology. The curriculum explores both the social sciences and the natural sciences, with subjects such as cognition, behavioral analysis, neuroscience and sociocultural differences. For transfer students, a minimum grade point average of 2.75 is needed in specific prerequisites such as precalculus. At least 18 of the 30 credit hours required for the major must be earned from the University of Florida.

The program prepares students to work in public, private, and governmental accounting. Students are also encouraged to commit to continuing professional development after graduation.
After completing the program, students have the ability to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification examinations through the university. This allows students to sit for these exams after a four-year undergraduate degree instead of requiring a fifth year of schooling. Possible career roles for graduates include financial accountant, auditor, management accountant, and tax accountant.
Online classes at the University of Minnesota require students to be comfortable with technology, independent learners, and effective communicators. The school suggests a number of resources for online learners to improve their study and technology skills. This includes technology assistance, free training courses for Microsoft Office products, a mini course on overcoming procrastination habits, and assistance with time management.
